That what Akashi-san called them! I don't think they're mermaids, though. No tail, just webbed hands and feet. Looks like a bunch of them live in the water.

I think they were upset that we intruded on their territory. That's just a guess though.

They basically made us do some chores for them and then they let us go after that. I didn't even get a chance to ask them anything about the town :(

It's a long shot, but it might be worth it to go down there again just to see if they're willing to talk now that they recognize us.
