Mostly is better than nothing! [He settles back down, the slightest pout on his lips.]

[He kisses the top of Izuku's head.]

I'm always here if you want to do something dangerous.

You make it sound like I go looking for trouble.

[He doesn't! Not exactly... But he'll turn slightly in Shouto's arms, looking apologetic lately anyway.]

I've been making you worry a lot lately, haven't I?

You make everybody worry a lot.

What can I do to make it up to you?

[He's not wrong, he's just bad at pulling his verbal punches.]

[Izuku curls his arms around Shouto, closing his eyes as he rests their heads together.]

[He nuzzles against him and draws him close.]

[Shyly, he pecks Shouto's cheek, juuuuuust missing the corner of Shouto's lips--so close.]

[Shouto's cheeks definitely have a light dusting of pink, but he'll ignore that for a moment.]

I'm glad you didn't get hurt. I can't help you if I'm not there.

Next time. [He promises again, even as Shouto's words send a rush of warmth through him.

Sometimes it's overwhelming, knowing that Shouto always has his back like this. It reminds him that he's not walking the path alone anymore.]
