[Luckily, Shouto's still out, so Izuku's alone when he pulls the door open with a curious look.]

Sorey-kun? [He lets the door swing open even more.] Sure you can... is there something going on?

[It doesn't look urgent, but Izuku gets the feeling that there's something weighing on Sorey's mind.]

[He smiles softly in greeting when the door opens to reveal Izuku. At the question he shakes his head.]

No, nothing's going on, I just wanted to talk about something and...see how you're doing, is all.

[When the door's opened enough he steps into the other boy's room.]

How's your arm?

Oh, this? [Izuku fiddles with the bandages on his shoulder, giving a little shrug after a second.]

Not too bad. Amano-san healed the worst of it--there's just these scratches on my shoulder now.

[Of course, he neglects to mention just how deep those scratches are.]

Oh, I see... [He says this softly, though his tone is still laced with worry.]

So it's healing up okay?

[There's a frown as he pauses, unsure how to gracefully transition to this topic, so he just says it.]

I haven't seen Ryoji around in a while...

Yeah. You don't have to worry about me.

[And then the smile dims as soon as he hears Sorey's next words.]

Oh... Sorey-kun. Mochizuki-kun... he's gone. His hex code is struck out like everyone else who disappeared.

[Man, how many times has he heard that from people? The assurance has him smiling sheepishly as he scratches his cheek.]

Alright, alright. Sorry, I just... A lot of things have been happening and tons of people have gotten hurt and...

[He trails off as he registers Izuku's next words.]

Gone like the others who've disappeared...I wonder what happened. He seemed a little...distant when I last talked to him...did he say anything to you?

[Izuku shakes his head as he takes a seat on the floor.]

No...nothing. The last time I saw him--well, he wouldn't have been able to talk to me anyway. I found him as a statue near the forest a little while ago... and then after that, he was gone.

I don't know if he even realized he'd be disappearing.

[He hums softly in acknowledgement of that.]

I didn't see him as a statue...but I wonder if that has anything to do with people disappearing. There's been a lot of people who've become statues before disappearing since we came here, I think.

[The thought that Ryoji didn't know has him frowning.] Kinda like most people don't know when their own death is coming?
