Not that Shouto can really blame him. Shouto's been anticipating this for a long, long time. He'll gently pull away from the kiss, resting their foreheads together.]

Just a little. [Despite that, he's smiling. It's a little shaky, but it's still genuine. This is Shouto, after all.]

I haven't done this before. [Izuku murmurs as he rubs their noses together fondly.] But I trust you.

[Just like he's trusted Shouto with every part of himself he's given over before this.]

[He huffs out a not quite laugh before kissing Izuku again, soft.]

I trust you too. That's why I'm okay doing this.

Okay. [Izuku sighs softly.] That's all I wanted to know.

[The trust is what matters in the end, Izuku thinks, as he tilts his head up for another kiss.

This time, he doesn't pull away after a little bit, cupping Shouto's cheek in one hand as he lingers.]

[He kisses back, bringing him closer.]

[Trust Shouto to spring those words on him when Izuku's already feeling so fond. He waits until they break the kiss to reply, this time.]

[There's a warm smile, even when the rest of him feels so uncomfortably cold. With that in the air, it feels a lot less awkward to do the rest of this.
