You mean a lot to me, Shouto. I just felt like I should say...more. Somehow.

... No. That's enough. If you're being honest and straightforward, that's the best approach.

[Of course he'd think that.]

Okay. [Finally, his smile returns. If Shouto says it's good enough, then he must mean it.

His worries evaporated, the giddiness returns and Izuku throws his arms around Shouto again.]

I like you, Shouto. [He's just going to say it again, because he actually can, now. And you know, just in case Shouto wanted to hear it again.]

[glaciers]

[Yes, this is much better. Izuku smiling and hugging him and being honest- this is what he's wanted, isn't it?]

I like you, Izuku.

[And maybe he's still a little too unsure for a proper kiss, but he will kiss Izuku's cheek.]

[Cheek kisses and forehead kisses seem safe enough, even though they still make Izuku blush. Anything more than that would probably make him short-circuit...for now, at least. Izuku would like to kiss Shouto eventually--ahhh, he's just glad he was already blushing, or Shouto might wonder what he was thinking about. Time to change the subject!

Izuku clears his throat a little, in a totally not obvious way (it's obvious).]

H-hey, Shouto? How did you figure it out? I just realized it a couple days ago.

[glaciers]

[Oh, one day they're definitely going to have a for real, lip to lip kiss. But... that's not today. Not when it's still something new and precious and Shouto's still unsure what he can and can't do.

Best to stay cautious.]

I was talking to Okuyasu over the network.

[Which means: Everybody saw Shouto's epiphany.]

[It doesn't even occur to Izuku that it might've been public at first.]

Nijimura-kun...? What did he say?

[And now he's pulling back juuust enough to look at Shouto's face. He's so curious.]

[glaciers]

[Oh... Oh no.]

He asked me if I was into you and then he asked if I thought you were cute. Of course I did, I'm not blind.

And then he said when you went missing I was freaking out the same way he did over Uraraka.

That's when I realized and came back here.

[inheritance]

[Izuku makes a strangled little sound as he presses his hands over his warm cheeks.] He asked you that? Ochako-san already knew when I told her about my feelings, too...

[A pause.] Does that mean we've been obvious this whole time and we just didn't realize it?

[glaciers]

[Ah, cute. Really, who wouldn't think Izuku was just the cutest?]

... She knew that?

I guess that's how it is. So... everybody knew except for us?

[inheritance]

Sounds like it. [Izuku gives him an embarrassed little smile.]

It scared me a little when I didn't know if you felt the same way, but I guess it's...not so bad now that we're together.

[glaciers]

[Wow.

Here he thought he wasn't obvious about his feelings at all.]

If you didn't tell me, I don't think I would've caught on. It probably would've been fine.

[Apparently they were both just incredibly oblivious.]

I'm glad we told each other. [Izuku reaches down, taking Shouto's hands in his.] I wouldn't have guessed either.

Do you think somebody would've told us about our own feelings?

Was that what Uraraka was trying to do?]

I...think so. [He laughs a little.]

Maybe not outright, but Ochako-san would have tried to hint at it, at the very least.
