Consider yourself lucky. I’ll be your teacher from now on. I don’t normally like to waste my time on kids, but you’re not bad at all. I think if I push you enough, you can grow into something even stronger than you are now. Don’t think I’m going to go easy on you, either. You better be prepared at any time of day to practice or answer my beck and call.

For a quick spar, though, I paired you up with Dave, #E00707. He’s faster than even you, but if you can catch up to him, he doesn’t have physical strength on his side at all. See what you can think of to slow him down.

[Whoa, he's being praised!! Probably a good thing Guren can't actually see him beaming as he reads this. For one, Guren actually seems to believe in his ability to grow. Even if they've only met a short while ago, the last thing Izuku wants to do is let him down, when he's taking the time to teach him.]
