It's no problem! I know the supplies we can use are pretty limited...

[He leads Minato over to the room that he's claimed. It's mostly barren, except for the pile of cushions and blankets that he's spread out in one corner to serve as a makeshift bed.

He grabs an empty notebook and pen from his bag before offering them to Minato.] Here you go!

[Izuku just smiles in response.] You can keep a few extra pages if you want. I don't mind! Just in case you need to write another report.

I have a few more notebooks in my backpack--somehow it ended up here, too. Good thing it did, or I wouldn't have anything to really write with... ah, did you find anything of yours here, too?

A sword? [Izuku looks up with interest. Sounds perfectly normal to him.]

I'm guessing that's what you normally fight with--is Kyrie-san helping you work on your technique?

... Probably.

[Maybe?]

He hasn't actually agreed to help me yet, but if I prove myself I think he will. So I'll keep trying until he's willing to help me out.

I still have a lot to learn, after all.

I feel the same way...but that's why we signed up for this!

You got it, Midoriya-kun. Maybe we should keep each other posted on our training and how it's going, too. I'd like to hear how yours ends up being too.

[A pause, before Izuku face brightens with a smile.]

I'd like that, too! Besides, maybe we could practice together... um, I know Ichinose-sensei's already assigned a lot of people, but the more we go over what we're learning, the faster we should pick it up, right?

[messianic]

I think so, yeah. I'd like that a lot.

[He won't stand a chance against Izuku, but it doesn't matter; they can still learn a lot from each other.]

... Ichinose-sensei? [HOLD ON.] Does that mean he's the one teaching you?

[Izuku blinks in surprise.]

Y-yeah, he ended up assigning himself to me, I guess. [Trying, and failing, to not look pleased, especially when he remembers what he'd said in that message.] Why?

I was just wondering.

[Minato nods thoughtfully, and honestly--]

He must think pretty highly of your skills then--that's pretty impressive, Midoriya-kun.

[inheritance]

Eh? [Now Izuku looks just a bit confused.]

Why do you say that? He's the one organizing this so it makes sense that he'd have a student.

[... Izuku...]

I don't think he'd take on a student that he didn't respect. That's just...the sense I get from talking to Ichinose-san a few times. That's all.

[Slowly, Izuku turns a little pink and ducks his head.]

Ah, he did mention he thinks he can help me get stronger. To be honest, I was surprised, because I thought he was just taking a second look at me when one of my friends talked me up.

[Izuku..... you're so humble.]

Well, I'm glad that he'll be able to help you get stronger.

Let's help each other too, okay? I'm sure we both have something to offer to learn from.

Definitely! [At that, Izuku regains his usual enthusiasm.]

Is there anything you wanted to work on in particular?

[Hmm...]

Honestly, I'm only okay at combat in general... I need more practice.

[inheritance]

Practice will help a lot! [He tilts his head suddenly.]

So Kyrie-san is your teacher... do you have a sparring partner?

[messianic]

I do. Akira-san and I will be sparring together soon. I'm interested to see how it goes.

[Honestly!! Two Purseowners sparring... not that he knows that yet.]

What about you?

Ah, I got paired up with Strider-kun! He's supposed to be really fast, so I'll have to work on being able to catch up to him.

[He smiles, enthusiasm practically radiating from him.] It'll be so interesting to see how everyone's abilities work!

[messianic]

[Izuku is so enthusiastic... it's endearing.]

... You're really excited about everyone's abilities and powers, aren't you?

Of course! [He immediately responds without thinking. A second later, he blushes.]

It's...sort of my hobby. I really like to analyze everyone's quirks back home...i-it's really special here, too, because we're from different worlds!

[messianic]

Your hobby...?

[...Well, he supposes in a world where everyone has some sort of ability, it makes sense as a hobby.]

You're right about that, at least. Seeing what everyone can do here is oddly exciting.

I've never seen anything like it... well, even with what you and your friends from home can do, really.

Yeah...even if it's just for a little while, at least we got to see this at all. Um, I mean, I might not have chosen to be here, but it's better to think about the positive aspects of this than the negative.

What about you, Arisato-kun? What made you start learning how to use the sword?
